The WHO-led Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate Change and Health (ATACH) brings together over 100 countries and over 100 partners prioritizing increased action on climate change and health at national level. The ATACH is mandated to identify and address country needs and priorities and to leverage the collective power of countries, partners and other stakeholders to drive this agenda forward at pace and scale.
ATACH has gathered international momentum as the global collaboration platform to implement priorities arising from global climate initiatives on climate & health, including those promoted by different COP Presidencies, including the UK (COP26 Initiatives on climate resilient and low carbon sustainable health systems), the Climate Action and Nutrition Initiative (I-CAN) launched at COP27, the COP28 Health Declaration, the WHA 77th Resolution on Climate and Health and the WHO Global Plan of Action on Climate and Health, and the recent COP30 Belem Health Action Plan (BHAP).
Under the Auspices of G7, Ministry of Health France will host a full day high-level ATACH event in Paris, France.
