WHO European Centre for Primary Health Care (Almaty, Kazakhstan)
The WHO European Centre for Primary Health Care works to make primary health care the accessible entry point of health systems – fair, people-centred and ready for today’s challenges.
As a signature initiative of the second European Programme of Work 2026–2030, primary health care is now a cross-cutting priority for WHO/Europe. The Centre works with all WHO programmes and partners to turn shared goals into real impact for countries and communities.
Through policy advocacy, technical guidance, capacity-building, data and evidence, the Centre helps Member States move from commitment to action – improving health, reducing inequalities and strengthening system resilience.
The Centre is part of WHO/Europe, with a core presence in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
